Description
- Manage full cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS / GAAP) and internal policies.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the finance team.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA) is preferred.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience, ideally combining audit (external or internal) and commercial or corporate accounting exposure.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles (IFRS / GAAP).
- Hands‑on experience with financial close processes, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Prior audit experience (Big 4 or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
