Working Day/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8AM - 5PM (Hybrid - 2 days office, 3 days in home)

Working Duration: 6 months contract (Fixed - Project Based)

Salary: Basic range from 7,500 - 12,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + medical insurance + leave entitlement

Position summary

This role is based out of our Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur. The accountant (Contract) is responsible for month-end reporting, compliance, and financial operations for Asia Pacific. This role works closely with teams in Malaysia, Sydney and India, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Authorities

• Engage in UAT for S4 Hanna Project-including preparing of test scenarios and reporting results of testing.
• Maintain the general ledger through journal processing and adjustments (bank, Opex, fixed assets, revenue, cost of sales).
• Process all ad-hoc journals accurately in the general ledger system.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance reports (VAT/GST, WHT) for manager review as required.
• Ensure all reporting deadlines are met as determined by Finance management.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Performance measures

• Complete month-end activities by corporate deadlines.
• Deliver monthly reporting packs to the corporate office.
• Complete project related activities as per project timeline.

Required skills and Experience:

• CIMA/ACCA/CA/CPA qualified accountant.
• 5+ years experience in accounting role.
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana or SAP ECC.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills for multi-stakeholder engagement.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
