Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage accounting tasks and projects within the AP, AR and GL functions, from initiation through completion, operating with minimal supervision.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Learn the company's ERP system and accounting processes quickly and apply them effectively in day-to-day work
  • Actively support ERP and process transition initiatives, including rebuilding accounting workflows and documentation
  • Troubleshoot accounting issues by independently researching root causes, validating data, and proposing solutions
  • Partner with the U.S. finance team and Shared Services Manager on accounting projects and system improvements
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, reviews, and internal reporting
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or control weaknesses in existing processes and recommend practical improvements
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and process maps for accounting activities
  • Complete accounting tasks within the company's workflow and task management systems
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly, escalating when appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to SOX control framework and internal control procedures
  • Identify process automation and standardization opportunities
  • Track KPIs and SLAs aligned with US reporting timelines

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proactive in exploring and applying AI and automation tools to improve accounting workflows, reduce manual effort, and support scalable processes.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently research accounting issues and determine appropriate solutions
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar systems preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited oversight
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools and systems
