Dynasynergy Technology Sdn Bhd (dyna) is hiring a Senior Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager to manage key accounting functions including full-set accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records across the business.
Dyna specialises in providing robust energy solutions for remote and off-grid locations. As a sister company to Rooftop Energy, we leverage industry-leading expertise to power Malaysia's most challenging environments through integrated Solar PV and genset hybrid systems.
Role Overview
- Responsible for full-set accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing
- Manages cash flow, banking relationships, and statutory compliance
- Supervises and guides junior finance staff
What You Will Do
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and finalise monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Prepare and maintain cash flow statements and ensure timely reconciliation
- Maintain detailed schedules for accruals, prepayments, deposits, inventories, fixed assets, and term loans
Bank and Payment Management
- Key in bank receipts, payments, and BA/BG journals
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage banking matters including loan facilities, annual reviews, and responding to bank queries
Month-End and Year-End Closing
- Finalise month-end and year-end closing for all Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet schedules
- Ensure all accounting entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported
- Reconcile staff claims and other control accounts
Compliance, Audit, and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Maintain organised accounting records and supporting documents for audit purposes
- Assist external auditors and respond to audit queries
- Liaise with the Company Secretary on statutory filings and corporate governance requirements
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) preferred
- 2-3 years of accounting experience including full-set accounts, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Hands-on experience with Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Proficient in SQL Accounting software and Excel
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines
Good to Have
- Audit experience (external or internal)
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff
- Familiarity with energy, engineering, or project-based businesses
