Senior AI Data Scientist

We are partnering with a leading investment firm to hire a Senior AI Data Scientist to develop and scale AI capabilities across the investment lifecycle.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role focused on applying Generative AI and Agentic AI to enhance investment research, idea generation, portfolio monitoring, risk management, and operational efficiency. You will work directly with Portfolio Managers, Investment Analysts, Traders, and Risk teams to build AI-driven solutions that improve decision-making and unlock new sources of competitive advantage.

You will design, build, and deploy AI solutions that support core investment activities, including research automation, market intelligence gathering, earnings and company analysis, portfolio surveillance, risk monitoring, and investment knowledge management.

Working closely with investment and technology stakeholders, you will develop AI agents and copilots capable of synthesising large volumes of structured and unstructured information, generating investment insights, automating workflows, and improving the speed and quality of investment decisions.

You will also build the underlying data and AI infrastructure required to support these capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor and coach Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Data Engineers while helping establish best practices across AI engineering, model governance, and deployment.

We are seeking a hands-on AI professional with a proven track record of delivering production-grade Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, and data engineering solutions.

Candidates should possess experience building AI applications such as investment research copilots, knowledge retrieval platforms, AI agents, workflow automation solutions, or advanced analytics platforms. Strong expertise in LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agent frameworks, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms is essential.

Experience within investment management, hedge funds, asset management, private markets, investment banking, or capital markets environments is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of investment research workflows, financial data, portfolio analytics, or risk management processes.

Equally important is the ability to engage senior investment stakeholders, translate business challenges into practical AI solutions, and coach technical teams while remaining deeply involved in hands-on development and delivery.
