Job Description:

Hiring a Senior Analyst-level accountant with at least 4 years of experience and a degree in Accounting/Finance. The candidate must be familiar with US GAAP and experienced in reviewing journals covering accruals, prepaid, deferral, and amortization. Strong analytical ability is required to interpret financial data and connect insights to business operations. The individual must be independent, self-driven, and capable of engaging business partners to understand upstream processes. Responsibilities include preparing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, manual journals, and supporting month-end close activities. Process improvement experience, including automation and AI skills, is an added advantage.

Typical Day in the Role:

Work standard business hours at the Bayan Lepas plant; no travel required.

Review and prepare manual journals (accruals, prepaids, deferrals, amortization).

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances with business partners.

Support monthend close activities and daily task prioritization with minimal supervision.

Join team huddles and engage stakeholders as needed.

Occasionally attend night calls, so the candidate must be flexible with meeting times.

Contribute to process improvements, including automation or digital enhancement opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong US GAAP Accounting Expertise (at least 4+ years experience)
• Analytical, Communication & Intermediate Technical Skills(Automation exposure preferred)
• Month End Close Proficiency (4+ years)

NonEssential (Preferred) Requirements

• Experience with automation tools, AI solutions, or processimprovement initiatives. Handson in building Excel/Power Query automations; exposure to RPA/AI tools is a plus
• Exposure to manufacturing accounting or plant operations, ideally in MNC/sharedservices settings.
• Advanced Excel or dataanalysis skills.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, BlackLine Reconciliation, or similar accounting systems.
