Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and maintaining actuarial pricing models.
  • Performing sense-checks and validating proposed actuarial pricing assumptions and bases.
  • Reviewing and validating outputs from pricing models, including premium rates, surrender values, and key financial metrics.
  • Reviewing customer-facing materials and Product Specification Documents (PSDs).
  • Ensuring timely completion of product reviews for all assigned products within agreed timelines.

Directly support Local Business Units (LBUs) in:

  • Developing and documenting actuarial pricing models, and recommending appropriate pricing methodologies where required.
  • Producing premium rates, surrender values, paid-up values, and other customer-related product outputs.
  • Generating required product financial metrics and conducting sensitivity analysis.
  • Preparing presentation materials and communicating findings to various stakeholders.
  • Preparing pricing documentation and reports for regulatory submission.
  • Completing customer-facing documentation and PSDs.
  • Delivering assigned LBU products and related materials within established timelines.

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an actuarial function, including at least 3 years in a pricing role.
  • Associate qualification from a recognized actuarial professional body.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
