Senior Application Support Engineer

Overview

• Responsibleforthemaintenance,development,implementation,andsupportofJava-basedapplications,includingallintegrationswithdownstreamsystems.
• Participateinuserrequirementanalysisandsystemdesignactivitiesforassignedapplications.
• TroubleshootandresolveincidentsorproblemsinaccordancewithestablishedSOPsandbestpractices.
• SupporttheTeamLeadinplanning,coordinating,andexecutingapplicationdevelopment,implementation,andproductionsupporttasks.

KeyResponsibilities

• Managetheimplementation,support,andmaintenanceofassignedapplications.
• Performsystemanalysis,design,development,reporting,modifications,andenhancementsasrequired.
• Ensureallsystemchangesandenhancementsmeetuserrequirementsandfunctionalspecifications.
• Provideend-to-endsupportduringsystemimplementation,ensuringsmoothdeploymentthroughcoordinationwithinternaldepartments.
• Conducttechnologyplatformassessments,includingperformanceandstresstesting.

Experience

• Minimumof6yearsofexperienceinenterpriseapplicationdevelopmentandsupportwithinafinancialorbankingenvironment.
• Provenexperiencewithapplicationserverclustering,performancetuning,andsystemtesting.
• ProficientinJava(J2EE)applicationdevelopment.
• ExperiencemanagingandadministeringWebSphereapplicationsonUnix(AIX).
• FamiliarwithrelationaldatabasessuchasIBMDB2orOracle.
