Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor Architectural Engineer with extensive knowledge in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions across Life, Group Benefits, and Property & Casualty insurance sectors. This role requires expertise in designing cloud-native, microservices-based architectures and a proven track record in modernizing core insurance platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and solution design for enterprise-level insurance technology projects.
- Modernize core insurance platforms, focusing on underwriting, claims adjudication, policy servicing, and group benefits administration.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including API-first design and straight-through processing (STP) of legacy systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Mentor engineering teams in Agile delivery methodologies and best practices.
- Engage in pre-sales activities and architecture discussions with global insurers, including Allianz Asia Region, Prudential Africa, and AXA.
- Ensure the delivery of secure, high-performance insurance platforms that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including Life, Group Benefits, and Property & Casualty domains.
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Proven experience in modernizing core insurance platforms and driving digital transformation.
- Extensive experience in API-first design, system integration, and claims automation.
- Strong understanding of policy lifecycle management, new business onboarding, and reinsurance processing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with event-driven integration patterns.
- Familiarity with actuarial integration processes.
- Proven leadership skills in mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in insurance technology and enterprise solution delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
