Senior Architect is responsible for architectural design planning and implementation of the assigned projects. Ultimately, you will assist in developing design plans, and monitoring the project implementation at all construction stages to ensure the compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Assist Lead Architect in managing architectural functions of the large-scale project or below independently.
- Design, check and calculate all assigned architectural matters.
- Supervise Graduates/Design/Project Architects/Drafting team.
- Undertake strategic planning projects, including feasibility analysis, impact assessments, modelling, and developing high-value strategies across public and private sectors.
- Provide detailed design work across a broad range of projects.
- Lead the design input and technical coordination with relevant consultants on such projects whilst ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard.
- Lead the project tendering process and make recommendations on competent consultants and subcontractors for respective trades.
- Review the preparation and delivery of detailed tender submissions and presentations.
- Execute and monitor planning and systems related to design, ISO, company goals and objectives.
- Conduct tender interview and analysis when required.
- Manage site coordination, review and inspection.
- Oversee construction works of contractors and construction personnel.
- Manage the liaison with clients, consultants and local authorities.
- Review and analyse architectural inputs that apply into construction drawings and cost plans.
- Prepare, maintain and manage architectural drawings, documents, and other related data in an organized manner.
- Ensure the BIM input and output are accurate and able to generate information and quantity for verification purposes.
- Monitor design aspects of the construction works to ensure the sites implement the respective designs according to the endorsed design and shop drawings.
- Ensure the building design is in compliance with all the local authority requirements and meet the timeline to obtain Certificate of Completion (CCC).
- Ensure the building meets the constructability efficiency.
- Review, supervise and develop technical skills within the team.
- Manage and coordinate post construction process.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree/Degree in Architecture or other equivalent fields.
- Architect registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) or other equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in architectural design and layout of infrastructure or building construction, with minimum 4 years of consultancy experience.
- Proven experience as Senior Architect specialising in architectural design development and implementation in diverse range of construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of design, construction and building systems.
- Well versed in relevant latest software in regards to building and infrastructure design.
- High visual awareness and attention to detail.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of architects.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
