Execute day-to-day foreign equity trade settlements and ensure timely matching and settlement within market cut-offs.
Maintain and update Standing Settlement Instructions (SSIs) in DTCC Alert (Sell-Side and Buy-Side).
Manage onboarding and maintenance of institutional foreign accounts, including the setup and validation of access codes.
Prepare, release, and reconcile settlement instructions via Straight2Bank and other approved payment platforms.
Perform settlement postings, journal entries, STP processing, ISS/CMF settlements, and trade amendments in NOVA and WebCDS.
Monitor settlement exceptions and discrepancies, and coordinate timely resolution with custodians and brokers.
Conduct pre-matching activities and process sales instructions to support timely settlement.
Prepare and execute Bursa Malaysia and foreign market payment instructions, and reconcile payment transactions.
Verify and approve CDS documentation as an authorized signatory.
Ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Securities Commission (SC), Bursa Malaysia, and CIMB Group policies, maintaining proper documentation and audit trails.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve settlement-related matters.
Support process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in foreign settlement, operational reporting, or related functions.
Knowledge of stockbroking operations, including applicable rules and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; exposure to NOVA or similar systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and settlement issues.
