Job Purpose.
Responsible for executing payroll-related activities with precision, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to efficiently handle payroll-related inquiries.
Key Accountabilities.
End-to-End Payroll Processing
Perform comprehensive payroll processing operations using the SAP system with high accuracy and timeliness. This includes salary calculations, prorations, bonuses, overtime, and termination payouts (final settlements), ensuring adherence to company policy and statutory requirements.
Statutory and Third-Party Payments Compliance
Ensure timely calculation, deduction, and remittance of statutory contributions and third-party payments such as income tax, EPF, SOCSO and other government-mandated deductions within stipulated deadlines.
Payroll and Bank Payment Approval via RCMS
Manage and execute the payroll approval workflow and salary disbursement process through RCMS (Remittance & Cash Management System). Ensure all necessary approvals are secured and salary transfers are accurately and promptly processed.
Monthly Reconciliation and Reporting
Prepare and execute payroll reconciliation including gross-to-net calculations and variance analysis. Perform payroll journal entries and ensure accuracy prior to submission to the Finance Division for month-end closing.
Collaboration with SAP and Finance Teams
Liaise regularly with the SAP technical team and Finance Division to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system issues, implement payroll configuration changes, and improve data integrity and process efficiency.
Payroll Enquiries and Support
Serve as the primary contact for all staff payroll-related enquiries. Provide timely, professional, and confidential responses to queries regarding payslips, tax deductions, bank payments, and other salary-related matters.
Continuous Improvement and Compliance
Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and internal policies. Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Participate in internal audits and ensure payroll practices align with regulatory requirements and audit standards.
Documentation and Records Management
Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll documentation and employee compensation records. Ensure confidentiality and proper access controls are in place for sensitive payroll data.
