Senior Associate, Real Estate Analytics (Market Intelligence Specialist)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Associate, Real Estate Analytics (Market Intelligence Specialist) to support our Real Estate Analytics (REA) function in delivering data-driven insights that shape real estate development, investment strategies, and portfolio optimisation across the organisation.
This role is ideal for an analytically driven professional with a strong foundation in real estate economics, data analytics, and investment evaluation, who enjoys translating complex data into actionable strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in conducting real estate market analyses, economic studies, and investment appraisals to inform strategic land use planning and investment decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models, investment evaluations, and scenario analyses to assess project viability and optimise asset monetisation strategies.
- Analyse macroeconomic, demographic, and industry data to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities within Johor and broader regional markets.
- Design, build, and maintain analytical databases, dashboards, and data pipelines to support strategic real estate decision-making.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, reports, and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
- Support the development of frameworks, tools, and databases to institutionalise data and investment analytics capabilities within the department.
- Provide technical advice to internal teams on data interpretation, modelling assumptions, and analytical methodologies.
- Collaborate with external research houses, consultants, and government agencies to source relevant data and market intelligence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree/Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline
- 35 years of experience in economic analysis, data analytics, investment evaluation, or real estate strategy.
- Strong understanding of real estate economics, market dynamics, and investment principles.
- Proven experience in developing financial models, forecasting tools, or analytical frameworks for real estate investment or development.
- Solid foundation in predictive modelling, statistical computing, econometric research, or real estate analytics.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and economic modelling capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python.
- Ability to translate complex data and analysis into strategic insights and investment recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills for senior management and board-level audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple analytical workstreams concurrently.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to contextualise data insights within broader strategic objectives.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
