Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FinTech or capital markets domain, building robust automation frameworks and ensuring high-quality delivery of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Cypress for web-based applications

• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and reusability

• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing in Agile/Scrum environments

• Ensure test coverage for financial workflows, including transactions, validations, reports, and regulatory requirements

• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for timely resolution

• Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance, and audit requirements relevant to FinTech systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5-7 years of overall experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Test Automation

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress for UI automation

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript

• Solid experience in FinTech / Capital Markets / Mutual Funds / Banking / Financial Services domain

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies

• Experience in API testing (REST APIs using Postman, Cypress, or similar tools)

• Familiarity with SQL and database validation

• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or other automation tools

• Knowledge of security testing, performance testing, or accessibility testing

• Exposure to microservices architecture

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial systems
