Work Location: IOI City, Putrajaya
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Experience Level
Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with exposure to Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Prior experience in software development is an advantage.
Industry Background
Experience in finance, banking, or insurance is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Finance, or Banking.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, or PMP are an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand business requirements; translate them into functional specifications, test scenarios, and execute system testing.
- Develop and document detailed business and functional requirements for IT projects involving multiple applications (Java/Angular and COBOL environments).
- Provide functional and technical support to business users and assist in issue analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams developers, designers, and project managers to deliver effective business solutions.
- Identify and evaluate business processes in the banking and finance domain to recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with quality assurance, infrastructure, and data management teams to ensure stable and efficient operations.
Required Technical Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT development within the banking or financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of Java, COBOL, and Angular technologies.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and testing repositories (e.g., Squash).
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
Additional Advantage
- Experience in production support or providing functional assistance to business users.
- Ability to work with global teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders across regions.
