Roles and responsibilities
- Lead the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of business analysis outputs within assigned workstreams.
- Own and manage scope and solution design, evaluating risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact of proposed options.
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across trading, risk, operations, and IT functions.
- Assist in the design and configuration of ETRM solutions to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable solutions that comply with Shell's architectural standards.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clarity in requirements and project deliverables.
- Conduct As-Is to To-Be analysis of business processes with focus of business and operational efficiencies.
- Support testing and validation activities, including UAT, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Provide input on best practices and product roadmap alignment.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Assist in project planning, risk management, and progress reporting.
Desired Experience
- 15+ years of experience in playing the role of business analyst across LNG, Oil & Gas trading domain.
- Knowledge of ETRM products like Endur, Beacon, CXL
- Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to identify business challenges, value drivers, and both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Skilled in facilitating workshops and managing user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively across various levels.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile delivery frameworks.
