Job Description

Insurance Business Analyst (Contract Role)

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Business Analyst to support the design and implementation of a new Commercial Model for Shared Services within a major insurance organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the client's core team and our delivery consultants to assess current operations, identify gaps, and develop best-practice solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct current-state assessments, gap analyses, and data collection activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business requirements, future-state processes, and success criteria.
  • Support risk identification, feasibility analysis, and mitigation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, Risk & Compliance, and Life Insurance Operations.
  • Contribute to workshops, documentation, testing, and go-live support during implementation.
  • Ensure smooth change management, communication, and training delivery.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance sector, ideally across
  • Life Insurance processes, workflow, and workload management
  • Risk and Compliance, including AML and regulatory requirements
  • Finance, particularly revenue and cost accounting
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Hands-on experience with shared services or operating model transformation projects is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • This role will be onsite 4-5 days per week in Kuala Lumpur
  • This is a contract opportunity expected to be 4 - 6 months duration with possibility of extension.
