The Role
They are seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to drive growth within Northern Malaysia. This position blends strategic account management with new business development, working closely with engineering and supply chain teams to deliver tailored packaging solutions.
Mandarin-speaking candidates are strongly preferred, especially due to substantial engagement with Chinese clients, suppliers, and transfer projects.
This role is well-suited for individuals with a consultative sales style, strong commercial awareness, and interest in industrial or high-tech packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue by developing new business, penetrating new market segments, and securing major projects across semiconductor, EV, electronics, and medical sectors.
- Manage and expand existing global key accounts while supporting regional and global sales strategies.
- Lead customer consultations, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.
- Partner closely with engineering and supply chain teams to propose optimized packaging solutions (e.g., corrugated materials, foam, lightweight wood, thermoformed plastics).
- Promote sustainable packaging initiatives that contribute to cost reduction and lower environmental impact.
- Conduct market analysis to uncover growth opportunities and execute sales strategies proactively.
- Maintain accurate CRM pipelines, support forecasting, and assist in managing account receivables.
- Contribute to regional business planning for Northern Malaysia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management within industrial or technical sectors.
- Knowledge of protective packaging materials (paper, foam, wood, plastics) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret customer drawings and understand application requirements.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and hands-on in execution.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
- Mandarin-speaking candidates are highly preferred, especially for interaction with China-based projects and key accounts.
