About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior BD Manager to drive Microsoft business growth, acquire new customers, build strategic partnerships, and expand cloud solution opportunities across key markets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development strategy and activities, including supporting regional teams on opportunities across Asian markets.
  • Identify and develop new business growth opportunities with sales, solutions, and marketing teams.
  • Understand customer cloud and digital transformation priorities, IT strategies, business goals, and success measures.
  • Design implementation approaches and solution strategies aligned with cloud solutions and services.
  • Act as a trusted cloud advisor by building long-term relationships with customers.
  • Support sales quota achievement through strategic customer engagement and strong solution positioning.
  • Represent Microsoft as a key cloud partner internally and support long-term partnership success.
  • Share customer, market, industry, competitor, product, and technology insights with sales teams.
  • Build relationships with Microsoft and other ecosystem partners to support joint demand generation.
  • Plan and drive sales, consumption, and sell-through of cloud solutions and services.
  • Work with sales and pre-sales teams on account planning, customer profiling, bid support, proposal preparation, sizing, and presentations.
  • Support strategic deal closure with regional and global teams.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft teams to execute programmes across Cloud, Security, AI, Data, Applications, and Modern Workplace solutions.
  • Leverage Microsoft partner incentives, rebates, benefits, and entitlements.
  • Provide regional and global teams with feedback on market trends, customer requirements, and future business opportunities.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in consultative selling and business development of cloud solutions and services.
  • Strong experience selling Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
  • Experience in customer-facing and partner-facing roles within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Experience managing Microsoft partner programmes, tools, incentives, rebates, benefits, and entitlements.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Partner ecosystem and ability to leverage Microsoft programmes to address customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models, including EA and CSP.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding cloud sales quotas and business targets.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying, leading, and executing new business development initiatives with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale cloud initiatives and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with Microsoft or a systems integrator partner.
  • Good understanding of hyperscaler ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, and other cloud platforms.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms and ability to map technologies to customer IT and business priorities.
  • Ability to position Microsoft cloud innovations and solutions effectively to customers.
  • Ability to work across multiple functions and teams in a matrix organisation.
  • Malaysian citizen currently based in Malaysia; this role does not provide visa sponsorship and is not open to expatriates.
