We help one of our clients in the Financial Services/Payment Solution industry lead their Business Development team, working remotely around Southeast Asia
Job Overview
Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth across the SEA and Asia markets, with a strongfocus on high-risk industries, especially payments, PSPs, and merchant acquiring. This role combines business development, merchant sales, and contribution to product & infrastructure development. The ideal candidate is hands-on, commercially driven, anddeeply familiar with end-to-end third-party provider management as well as launching proprietary payment solutions. Senior BDs are also expected to bring and close merchant opportunities, not only manage providers.
Responsibilities
- Build new and expand existing SEA payment partnerships, managing end-to-end commercial, contractual, and technical negotiations
- Define and execute business development strategies, identifying opportunities, risks, and roadblocks from prospecting through deal closure
- Drive sales of mainstream and non-mainstream products, including but not limited to Payment gateway solutions
- Develop business cases and financial models in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Sales, Product Owners, and Management
- Build strong internal alignment with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Key Account Management
- Continuously expand the cooperation scope with partners to create new value-added services and features
- Support broader company initiatives such as: New market entry, Provider acquisitions, Regional infrastructure expansion
Main Requirements (Must-have)
- Fluent Mandarin and English
- Strong experience in the Asia region high-risk markets (PSPs, gateways, acquiring, crypto/FX/high-risk processing)
- The payments industry background is a strong priority
- Proven end-to-end management of third-party payment providers
- Experience in launching and managing own/proprietary payment solutions
- Strong merchant network, with the ability to bring its own merchants and participate directly in merchant sales cases
- Demonstrated experience with successful and failed provider launches
- Ability to operate independently and close deals end-to-end
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: up to 6,500 USDT / month (depends on qualification)
- Quarterly OKR Bonus: up to 150% of monthly salary
- Merchant Sales Commission
