Summary

The Senior Business Director - Client Servicing at IPG Mediabrands will be responsible for leading and growing a dynamic portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of high-impact, integrated media solutions that drive measurable business results. This role requires a leader who thrives on building strong client partnerships, shaping strategies, and inspiring teams to perform at their best.

Industry experience is a must as we are looking for someone with deep roots in the advertising and media industry who understands both global standards and the local nuances of Malaysian clients and consumers.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Growth

  • Own and strengthen senior-level client relationships, positioning Mediabrands as a trusted partner.
  • Anticipate opportunities to expand client business, ensuring growth across the Mediabrands ecosystem .
  • Deliver client satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service, proactive engagement, and measurable outcomes.

Strategy & Solutions

  • Lead development of client strategies across media, digital, and integrated marketing solutions.
  • Leverage industry and local market expertise to deliver campaigns that are globally competitive and locally relevant.
  • Champion Mediabrands proprietary tools, insights, and innovation in client recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of consumer trends, client needs, and marketplace changes, adapting strategies accordingly.

Business & Financial Management

  • Drive account profitability, revenue forecasting, and financial health of your portfolio.
  • Oversee P&L for the business unit, ensuring financial discipline and growth.
  • Lead and convert new business opportunities, both organic and external.

People & Leadership

  • Lead and inspire multiple teams, ensuring collaboration and excellence in client servicing.
  • Mentor and coach managers and executives, creating a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Drive a culture of respect, accountability, and high performance.
  • Foster cross-agency collaboration to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.

About You

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in advertising/media agencies, with proven expertise in client servicing and account leadership.
  • Strong understanding of local client dynamics and consumer behavior in Malaysia, paired with a global perspective.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale accounts ( MYR90m billings) with measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong foundation in media, coupled with integrated marketing communications experience.
  • Skilled in P&L management, business development, and operational excellence.
  • Leadership qualities: ability to inspire, mentor, and develop large teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
