MYFutureJobs are currently assisting GES Manufacturing Services (M) Sdn Bhd, a member of Venture Group of Companies, to source for a Senior Buyer, Purchasing to be based in Senai, Johor.
Reporting to the Purchasing Section Manager, you'll take ownership of material planning for a Key Customer across GES Asia sites — from engineering build through mass production to end-of-life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage material planning across engineering build, pilot run, mass production, and EOL stages
- Coordinate with component buyers, business unit managers, engineers, and customers to ensure material visibility and sales order commitment
- Manage excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory — transfers, vendor returns, re-sales
- Monitor market trends (lead time, supply, capacity, pricing) in close contact with BU and commercial teams
- Assist component buyers in supply assurance, expediting, and supplier negotiations
- Review and coordinate ECN/EOL implementation
- Coordinate PPV follow-up with BU and buyers
- Support Purchasing Manager in policy implementation and monthly KPI reporting
Requirements:
- Diploma and above
- 4–5 years experience in Electronics/Computer manufacturing industry
- Sound knowledge of English/Mandarin to liaise with suppliers and inter-plant stakeholders
- Strong project management understanding, business sense, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel (local/overseas) as required
