Role Purpose
- Overall responsibility for supporting FWD database infrastructure from design through implementation, ongoing management, and support
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve database system issues
- Support new business unit build-upand group initiatives
Key Accountabilities
Database Operations & Support
- Act as a database team member responsible for management and support of FWD IT database systems
- Ensure service availability, capacity management, and 7x24 support
- Perform database system maintenance including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning
Projects & Architecture
- Support regional financial system implementation (IFRS17)
- Design database architecture and perform capacity planningfor regional projects
- Implement IT projects and support existing business units
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IT risk and security policies
- Manage operational tasks and support group initiatives
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Database service availability aligned with service level targets
- Incident management and operational task delivery
- Successful support of new business units and regional initiatives
- Compliance with IT risk and security requirements

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science / Information Technologyor equivalent
- More than 7 yearsof database administration experience in a sizable organization
- Professional certifications preferred:
- Microsoft SQL
- Oracle
- Cloud Database
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- 810 yearshands-on experience in database administration with:
- MS SQL Server 2012/2016
- Oracle
- IBM CDC
- ETL
- Experience in:
- Database projects and capacity planning
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Database monitoring, replication, and encryption
- Proficient in database design and database problem-solving
- Establish and review database infrastructure standards for compliance and security
- Design and manage DR drills and BCP processes
- Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies
- Monitor and manage cloud database costs and recommend optimizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud-aligned database solutions
- Stay updated on emerging cloud database technologies and industry best practices
