Your new role
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining an on-premise cloud platform. This role centres on building a secure, scalable, and high-performance Linux-based infrastructure that supports sovereign data, AI workloads, and operations. You'll work with technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Rancher with Harvester to unify compute, storage, and networking into an automation-driven ecosystem, while also mentoring the national cloud engineering team.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need expert-level proficiency in Linux systems engineering, hypervisor and container orchestration, and automation using tools like Ansible and Terraform. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure is essential, along with certifications such as RHCE, SCE, or UCE. Strong networking knowledge, technical leadership, and the ability to deliver secure, automated, and scalable solutions are key to success.
