HIRING: SENIOR CNC PROCESS SPECIALIST

We are currently sourcing an experienced Senior CNC Process Specialist on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan.

This is a senior technical role focused on precision CNC machining process development, programming, process optimization and complex troubleshooting. The position is not intended for a routine CNC machine operator and requires strong hands-on experience in developing and improving complete CNC machining processes for precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes based on engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, materials and production requirements

• Develop, review and optimize CNC programs, machining sequences, tool paths and cutting parameters

• Select suitable cutting tools, tool geometries, fixtures, work-holding methods and machining strategies

• Conduct process trials, first-piece validation and machining process verification prior to production release

• Troubleshoot complex machining issues including dimensional variation, tool wear, poor surface finish, vibration, deformation, tool breakage and process instability

• Optimize machining parameters to improve cycle time, tool life, productivity, yield and overall process stability

• Review engineering drawings and provide recommendations on manufacturability from a CNC machining perspective

• Develop and maintain CNC process documentation, programs, tooling specifications, setup procedures and process standards

• Support new product introduction and develop machining processes for new precision components

• Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams on root-cause analysis and corrective actions

• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to CNC operators, technicians and junior engineering personnel

• Support technical knowledge transfer and development of standardized CNC machining practices

Requirements:

• Diploma / Advanced Diploma / DVM / DKM Level 4 / DLKM Level 5 or relevant technical qualification

• Extensive hands-on experience in precision CNC machining and CNC process development

• Strong experience in CNC programming and program optimization

• Proven ability to independently develop and optimize machining processes for precision components

• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, work-holding methods and machining parameters

• Experience in precision dimensional control, tolerance management and process validation

• Strong troubleshooting skills involving dimensional issues, surface finish, tool life, vibration, machining stability and production defects

• Experience improving machining cycle time, productivity, tooling cost, rejection rate and process consistency

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Experience in new-product CNC process development and production support

• Ability to train and transfer technical knowledge to CNC operators and technical personnel

Candidates with experience limited mainly to machine operation without CNC process development, programming and advanced troubleshooting exposure may not be suitable for this position.
