Senior Controls and Instrument Engineer

Purpose of the position

- Responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Electrical and Instrument equipment .

- Responsible for Low voltage & Instrumentation commissioning for new plant and pipeline.

- Responsible for preparing detail report on high impact or repetitive E&I issues.

Principal responsibilities

To perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance with due diligent and at a timely manner so that plant breakdown is kept at minimum.

Making sure instrument calibration certificate & records been update in a timely manner.

To perform Safety Instrumented System (SIS)/ Critical Safety System (CSS) prove test in a timely manner.

To take lead in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for instrument related issues when required.

To liaise with Operation team for permit application and to prepare Work-risk assessment (WRA)/HIRARC/method of statements.

Timely perform Analyzer and other instrument equipment calibration

To liaise closely with Operation personnel on performing preventive maintenance programs and responsible for carrying out SAP based preventive program in a timely manner.

To lead in planning (TA) annual plant shutdown task until its execution.

To raise management of changes of any modification done to the exiting setup .

To take lead in handling contractors and supervise them in performing major task.

To carry out regular inspection on plant equipment and assess its reliability.

To support plant breakdown/callout during non-working hours when required.

To strictly follows plant safety rules and follows its procedure.

To take care of critical spares availability and replenish after usage.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

Able to work independently.

Able to perform instrumentation calibration and verification.

Able to understand P&ID and SLD.

Knowledge in SAP system is an added advantage.

Required qualifications/experience

Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.

At least 5 years experience in the fields of operation and maintenance of chemical, industrial gases or manufacturing set up.
