About The Role
We are looking for a highly experienced
Senior Manager, Group Crisis Management & Operational Resilience to join RHB Banking Group. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide strategies to strengthen the Group's crisis management and operational resilience capabilities across Malaysia and our regional markets. You will safeguard RHB Group's ability to withstand and recover from major disruptions, including cyber incidents, third-party failures, and geopolitical risks, while working closely with business and technology leaders, regulators, and risk teams to maintain the highest standards of resilience and readiness.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the design, implementation, and governance of the Group Crisis Management Framework.
- Act as Crisis Response Lead during high-impact incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders, including regulators and the media.
- Conduct pre-crisis monitoring, rapid assessments, Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and impact assessments to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local and regional requirements, as well as global standards such as ISO 22301, ITIL, and NIST.
- Develop and maintain operational resilience and business continuity strategies, including reviewing BIAs, RAs, BCM documentation, and testing outcomes for BCPs and DRPs.
- Provide actionable insights to the Group Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee, and Executive Committees, including preparing Board and Committee papers.
- Engage with regulators, internal and external auditors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with expectations and address findings.
- Conduct Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) and Lessons Learned exercises to improve crisis management practices.
- Lead training and simulation exercises, embedding a culture of resilience across the Group.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in banking, with at least 5 years in crisis management, business continuity, operational resilience, third-party risk management, or IT disaster recovery.
- Deep knowledge of crisis management frameworks, regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM, MAS), and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in handling complex crises across areas such as cyber incidents, technology outages, third-party failures, reputational threats, and liquidity challenges.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including regulatory liaison and audit management.
- Technical expertise in crisis management, business continuity, operational resilience, third-party risk, IT disaster recovery, IT operations, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMIT, NIST).
- Experience driving strategic initiatives and transformational change, with a focus on enhancing organizational resilience.
