Job Purpose / Objective
The Trade Marketing Executive is responsible for bridging the gap between brand strategy and market execution in Malaysia. The role aims to maximize brand growth, build sustainable market presence, and achieve sales targets by developing and implementing effective trade marketing and business strategies.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and increase market share in Malaysia.
Act as the primary liaison between the brand principals and the Malaysian market to ensure smooth communication and alignment of objectives.
Sales & Business Development:
Plan and execute business development initiatives to grow the brand's presence and penetration in the region.
Monitor sales performance and ensure the achievement of sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
Trade Marketing Activities:
Manage trade promotions, merchandising strategies, and market activations to maximize retail impact.
Conduct periodic market visits to assess product placement, brand visibility, and promotional effectiveness.
Design and execute campaigns to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
Provide training, support, and guidance to distributor teams to ensure alignment with brand strategies.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, competitor activities, and market trends.
Provide regular reports and performance updates to brand principals and internal teams.
Analyze sales data and market feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless operations.
Align trade marketing activities with the overall brand and corporate strategies.
Budget Management:
Manage trade marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal ROI for all campaigns and activities.
Specialized Knowledge / Skills / Job Requirements
At least 2 years and above working experience in trade marketing/product development/Sales preferably in FMCG industries
Disciplined in execution and follow up of campaigns
Strong in Microsoft Office (PPT & Excel)
Strong in analytical skill
Attention to details and good with numbers
Pro-active
Good proficiency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
Education & Experience
At least 2 years and above working experience in trade marketing/product development/Sales preferably in FMCG industries
