Job Description

The position reports to: Head of Data Analytics

We are hiring a Senior Analyst to join our analytics team, reporting to the Head of Analytics. This role sits at the intersection of data modelling and business partnership — you'll own the design of clean, scalable models across our medallion architecture, while also being the go-to analytics partner for business stakeholders, guiding them on how to think about and measure their own problems. You'll work closely with the Head of Analytics on both fronts, and with Data Engineering to keep your models performant and reliable in production.

What You'll Do

Data Modeling

  • Design, build, and continuously improve data models across our medallion architecture — translating business questions into well-structured, scalable gold-layer datasets on Google GCP.
  • Own the modelling lifecycle from silver-layer cleaning and standardisation through gold-layer models ready for reporting, including dbt implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Dig into source databases to reconcile data gaps, resolve inconsistencies across systems, and identify new metrics worth formalising into the model.
  • Partner with Data Engineering on bronze-layer ingestion and pipeline design, so your models are built on solid, well-understood inputs.

Business Partnership

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand their goals and challenges, acting as their go-to person for anything analytics — from a quick SQL question to a new metric definition to a full dashboard.
  • Guide stakeholders on how to think about their own data: helping them frame the right question, choose the right metric, and understand tradeoffs in how something is calculated.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Looker for self-service analytics, with a focus on usability so business users can find answers themselves.
  • Safeguard data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting, proactively catching and resolving discrepancies before stakeholders do.

What We're Looking For

  • 4 -5 years of relevant experience in analytics engineering, BI, or a similar analytics role.
  • Strong SQL skills with a solid understanding of data modeling within a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with a data modeling tool such as dbt/GCP dataform, for building and maintaining transformation workflows, including testing and documentation practices.
  • Experience with at least one BI tool (Looker preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills — able to listen closely, understand business problems, and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Naturally curious and consultative — comfortable pushing back or offering a different angle when it serves the business better.
  • Problem-solver with sharp attention to detail and comfortable digging into unfamiliar databases to reverse-engineer business logic.
  • (Bonus) Python scripting experience and/or knowledge of the telco space.

Our Commitment to You

At Time, we believe great work deserves great support. Here's what you can look forward to when you join us:

  • Comprehensive medical coverage for you and your immediate family, including outpatient care, hospitalisation, dental and optical benefits.
  • Wellness support with an annual spending account for health-related needs, alternative treatments, or even paid-up premiums for personal insurance.
  • Employee assistance during life's big moments, from celebrations to times of bereavement.
  • Learning & growth opportunities through dedicated time for learning, access to LinkedIn Learning and rewards for upskilling.
  • Cash rewards for recognised certifications and full reimbursement for up to two approved professional memberships each year.
