The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading the implementation of data and analytics solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders to generate insights and intelligence to support data-driven decision-making.
Reporting to the Head of Data Strategy and Governance, the candidate is required, amongst others, to:
- Manage and execute data and analytics solutions at the enterprise level
- Identify opportunities and business challenges where data and analytics can add value in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Assess business requirements and problem statements and recommend analytics solutions to address business needs and challenges
- Devise operational strategies to execute identified analytics initiatives and solutions
- Develop and implement data pipelines, data models and analytics solutions in the enterprise data platform
- Create robust data models and architectures to support analytics initiatives
- Conduct statistical analyses, create and maintain dashboards, visualisations and reports to generate insights to enable data-driven decision-making
- Provide inputs and recommendations to formulate the strategic plan for data and analytics for the Corporation
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in cloud-based data platforms, data science, or related areas will be an advantage.
- At least 7 years of working experience in data engineering, data analytics implementation, or similar roles.
- Experience in leading the execution of data and analytics initiatives and solutions is a plus.
- Expertise in data modelling, ETL development, and data & analytics solution implementation.
- Experience in gathering, extracting, and analysing data using statistical analysis techniques to derive meaningful insights.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platform tools.
- Proficiency in business intelligence and analytics tools (Power BI), programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R, and notebooks like R Studio or Jupyter.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good facilitation skills to engage various departments and business users.
- Team player with high organisational commitment, proactive with good drive and a quick learner.
- Effective relationship management and excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts, ideas, and findings to both technical and business executives.
