Senior Data Engineer

About the Job

As a hybrid Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, managing data versioning, automating Machine Learning (ML) model lifecycles, and scaling infrastructure in production environments. You will act as a force multiplier, translating data science experiments into reliable, highly available, production-grade applications while maintaining robust ETL pipelines.

• Design and implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines (CI/CD/CT) to deploy, test, and maintain ML and GenAI models on AWS
• Containerize applications and build container orchestration environments
• Build, optimize, and maintain robust ETL pipelines for raw data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Develop and manage AWS CloudFormation templates for infrastructure provisioning and environment deployment.
• Administer AWS platforms across non-production and production environments, ensuring security, availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Configure and manage AWS services including IAM, SCPs, VPC, security groups, Lambda, SageMaker, S3, DataSync, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with application and data science teams on cloud deployment, access setup, and platform integration.
• Monitor platform health, logs, metrics, and alerts; troubleshoot deployment, access, networking, quota, and performance issues.
• Enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices (least privilege, logging, monitoring, change management).
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices

We are looking for people with

• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and operational support.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS core services.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot AWS platform, deployment, access, and performance issues.
• Background in DevOps, cloud/platform engineering, or infrastructure support preferred.
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, shell, YAML, JSON) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
