Senior Data Engineer - Platform

We're partnering with a leading global crypto data platform to hire a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale high-volume, real-time data systems powering millions of users worldwide.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working on data pipelines, streaming systems, and modern data platforms at scale.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines handling large, multi-source datasets
• Own end-to-end data infrastructure (ingestion → transformation → warehouse → analytics)
• Develop and maintain data models (star schema / dimensional modeling)
• Improve data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines
• Work on real-time / streaming data systems
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices

What we're looking for:

• 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and working with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, ClickHouse, etc.)
• Familiar with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, etc.)
• Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, etc.)
• Solid understanding of data modeling and cloud data infrastructure
• Able to work independently and take ownership of features end-to-end

Eligibility:

• Open to candidates currently based in Malaysia with existing work authorization
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Nice to have:

• Experience in high-growth or data-heavy environments
• Interest or exposure to crypto / blockchain
