Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and business intelligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design data solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing data processes for performance and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.
• Analyze large datasets to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and data engineering practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions and data modeling techniques.
• Understanding of data visualization tools and BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
