DutiesandResponsibilities:

Manageandperformadministrativetasksondatabases(MicrosoftSQL,Oracle,MySQL)runningonWindows&

Linuxplatforms.

Monitoringthehealthofthedatabases,andperformtrouble-shootingtoidentifyandresolveanyreported

issues.

Install,configureandsetupdatabasesforapplicationuse.

Performupgradeofdatabasesand/ormigrationofdatabasesfromoneproducttoanother.

Performdatabaserefreshacrossdifferentenvironments.

Performtuningandoptimizationactivitiestoimprovedatabaseperformanceandutilizationofstoragespace.

InvolveinthehardeningofclouddatabaseslikeAzureSQL.

Monitorandmanagedatareplication,includingexecutionofdatabaseswitchoverforDisasterRecovery(DR)

exercises.

Performdatabasemaintenance,includingapplyingandvalidatingofsecurity&criticalpatches.

Managedatabasesecurity,andengageinprocessimprovementsuchasautomationoftasksandprocedures.

Executeandprovidetechnicalsupportforthedeploymentofapplicationfixesand/orchangesinrelationtothe

database.

Participateinsystemaudits,adheretotheinternalsecuritystandards.

Manageandco-ordinatewith3rdpartyvendorstotroubleshootandresolveproblems.

Ensureavailabilityandcontinuityofdatabaseservices.

Involveinincident,problem,changeandservicerequestmanagement.
