Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled full-stack developer with deep specialization in database design, database architecture, and enterprise-level data migration. This role will require strong MSSQL programming, data modelling expertise, high-performance database development, and experience in migrating databases or enterprise systems across platforms.
Tasks and Accountabilities- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade relational databases
- Create advanced stored procedures, functions, views, and complex T-SQL logic
- Architect and optimize database schemas, indexing strategies, and data models
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis
- Lead and execute database migration projects (cross-version, cross-platform, or cross-technology)
- Support enterprise application migration projects involving modernization, refactoring or re-platforming
- Develop backend data flows, integration pipelines, and high-volume processing routines
- Ensure database scalability, reliability, and compliance with best practices
- Create documentation including ERDs, data dictionaries, and data architecture standards
Technical Skills and ExperienceEssential:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise database development
- Strong expertise in database architecture, including schema design, ER modelling, and long-term stability planning
- Intermediate to advanced MSSQL expertise, including:
- Complex stored procedures
- Ability to refactor advanced T-SQL programming
- Query tuning and optimization
- Triggers, functions, and transactions handling
- Index strategies and database performance tuning
- Experience with:
- Large-scale database driven application architecture
- Data processing, reporting and integration
- Database lifecycle management and deployment practices
- Strong understanding of relational database theory (ACID, normalization, isolation levels)
- Experience in enterprise-level database migration projects such as:
- Cross-technology migrations (e.g., MongoDB to MSSQL or other platform)
- Cross-version upgrades
- Structural redesigns and data transformation
- Ability to analyse complex data structures and propose optimized, maintainable solutions
Preferred
- Experience in enterprise application migration, especially re-platforming or modernization of legacy systems
- Experience with .NET technologies (C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core) for backend integration
- Experience with frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML
- Familiarity with NoSQL/document-style databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control for database deployments
- Knowledge of test automation for data validation
- Ability to speak or understand German
