Responsible in assessing the project demand/ pipeline and assigning relevant IT Project Manager (ITPM) to implement the project activities for Maybank group. This also includes working on Spend Paper approvals, Enterprise Architecture approvals of the system design and producing weekly/monthly reports for overall Department project's progress and jointly accountable for the end resulta successful project and ensuring that the team meets objectives on time and that the project stays on budget.

The role of a Demand Manager in financial services involves a range of responsibilities that are crucial for the effective planning and execution of financial services projects.

Here are some responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role:

  1. Developing and implementing demand planning strategies: Collaborating with Application owners, Group Technology Strategy Office, various Business stakeholders to gather data and analyse project demand trends.
  2. Tracking project inventory levels and identifying potential risks: Implementing mitigating actions to ensure project inventory levels are maintained and risks are managed effectively.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Improving demand forecasting accuracy and efficiency through collaboration with various departments.
  4. Highly Organized with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team oriented collaborative fashion
  5. Managing contractual requirements and escalation: Continuously managing contractual requirements and ensuring operational interfaces with stakeholders are established and functional.
  6. Reporting performance and quality metrics: Aligning performance metrics with quality plans and reporting insights to upper-level management.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop processes to ensure that project demand is being managed accordingly and any aging, lower-priority demands are not perpetually deferred.
  2. Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all Demand-related tasks.
  3. Performs complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of program management
  4. Owns Demand-related metrics as part of the overall quality assurance plan
  5. Participates in special projects as required
  6. Provides reports and dashboards to provide transparency into demand backlog, trends, and current pipeline
  7. Facilitates and actively participates in Demand prioritization meetings with appropriate stakeholder groups
  8. Reports to and consults with upper management and executives, as needed, to help drive strategic organizational and platform growth
  9. Constructs relevant assessment criteria and formulae to support objective demand prioritization
  10. Recommends processes to receive, assess, and approve submitted demand records.

Requirements

  8. Experience with and thorough understanding of key factors that drive business value and impact
  9. Candidates have extensive experience in Project Management
  10. ServiceNow experience (Demand Management, Ideation, Continual Improvement Management, Surveys and Assessments, Service Portal) where applicable in the job context.
  11. Over 5+ years of related experience in Demand Management
  12. Agile/SAFe experience
  13. Strong customer facing skills with an ability to interact in confidence with Business stakeholders.
