Kenangan Coffee Malaysia is looking for a Senior Demand & Supply Planner. The role will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain planning, ensuring optimal inventory availability and replenishment across multiple warehouses (including inbound and outbound movements) across Malaysia and Singapore; to meet both our cafe retail operational needs. This role requires a strong focus on accurate demand forecasting, inventory health management, and working together with 3PL on strategic logistical execution .
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years in demand or supply planning within the F&B/ retail sector.
- Proven experience in end-to-end demand forecasting, including modeling for trends, seasonality, promotional uplifts, and store expansions with comprehension of F&B/ Retail operations.
- Expertise in supply planning and replenishment logic to set optimal stock levels, control inventory days, and manage inventory health (expiry, overstock, slow-moving stock) across all warehouses.
- Ability to manage high SKU complexity, fast inventory movements, and multi-warehouse distribution for regional planning.
- Knowledge of import and export processes to support regional distribution (East and West Malaysia) and cross borders SG/ Indonesia/ China.
- Mandatory advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including expert application of complex formulas such as Index-Match and layering ifs.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for data entry, administration, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, logic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for liaising with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Finance) and external suppliers for seamless supply chain execution.
- Detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to operate and adapt effectively in a high-speed, fast-paced environment.
Job Role:
- Develop and execute rolling demand forecasts (3 to 6-months) and translate them into executable supply and replenishment plans for all warehouses.
- Conduct provisioning planning for major holidays, new store openings (NSO), and expansion plans to ensure sufficient extra stock and to avoid deliveries on public holidays.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory stock levels, managing inventory health, batch control, and expiry across all warehouses, adhering to set stockholding periods per SKU category.
- Perform daily Excel reconciliation and data matching to ensure data accuracy of inventory entries and movements.
- Track inventory-related reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Raise purchase requests (PRs) and manage the delivery process directly with external suppliers, liaising regarding delivery schedules, delays, or changes.
- Apply import/export knowledge to maximize and optimize container/shipment volume, including understanding pallet and container configuration, and coordinating vessel schedules, especially for shipments to East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak)
- Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Procurement) and external parties (3PL and suppliers) to align forecasts, LTOs (Limited Time Offers), promotions, and expansion plans.
- Proactively work backward from LTO announcements by breaking down products into core ingredients, following up with R&D to determine required stock, timelines, and stock-holding needs.
- Identify gaps in planning and execution to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
