We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead engineering activities for utility-scale solar projects—from tender stage to execution. If you're passionate about clean energy and ready to take ownership of impactful projects, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Tender & Proposal Leadership
- Lead engineering support for tender and proposal submissions
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies
- Perform technical assessments (e.g. shading analysis, PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis)
- Prepare technical proposals, tender documents, and project costing
- Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders
Project Engineering & Execution
- Develop and review shop drawings and design calculations (e.g. cable sizing)
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for design approvals
- Provide technical guidance to project and installation teams
Design Review & Quality Control
- Review contractor/vendor designs in compliance with local and international standards
- Evaluate contractor performance in design and installation quality
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior engineers and interns
- Support procurement with technical evaluations and vendor coordination
- Collaborate across teams and regions for continuous improvement
- Keep up with latest solar and BESS technologies
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in renewable energy / large-scale solar
- Strong knowledge of engineering design and drawing interpretation
- Experience in BESS design is an added advantage
- Proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst, SketchUp
- Familiar with HomerPro, RatedPower or similar tools
- Good command of MS Office and technical documentation
