Senior Developer - EngageOne and/or Pitney Bowes platforms

Project Description:

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

1. eStatement Development & Support

Design, develop, and maintain eStatement solutions within Core Banking environments.

Work on statement generation, formatting, and delivery using EngageOne / Pitney Bowes platforms.

Support enhancements and issue resolution for customer statements across channels.

2. Application Development

Develop and enhance frontend components using Java.

Implement automation and utility scripts using Unix shell scripting.

Work with Oracle DB for data extraction, validation, and performance tuning.

3. Platform & Environment Handling

Support applications hosted on IBM 8205-E6C and Unix/Linux platforms.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams for deployments, environment readiness, and troubleshooting.

Ensure application stability, performance, and scalability.

4. Integration & Channel Support

Work within Channel & EAI architecture to integrate eStatement systems with upstream/downstream banking applications.

Ensure secure and reliable data flow between systems.

5. DevOps & Release Management

Support CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket, Jenkins, and Artifactory (good to have).

Participate in release planning, deployment, and post-release support activities.

6. Documentation & Quality

Maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and SOPs.

Follow coding standards and best practices.

Support defect fixes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills Description:

6-9 years of strong hands-on experience in eStatement solutions.

Expertise in EngageOne and/or Pitney Bowes platforms.

Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.

Solid experience with Oracle Database.

Front-end development experience using Java.

Experience working on Unix/Linux environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

Pitney Bowes product knowledge.

Java scripting exposure.

DevOps tools: BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory.

Experience in CI/CD pipelines.
