Job Purpose
As a senior dietitian, your primary role is to provide clinical and operational leadership for the Dietetic Unit under the Psychosocial Support Department. The role oversees the delivery and quality of dietetic services, supports complex case management, monitors clinical practice and service outcomes, and leads the development and implementation of relevant SOPs, guidelines, and service improvement initiatives. In addition, your clinical role involves supporting cancer patients and their families in navigating the clinical nutritional assessment, intervention, counselling and education for cancer patients and survivors to optimize their nutritional status, improve treatment tolerance, support towards recovery, and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dietetic Unit to ensure smooth, timely, and effective deliver of dietetic services across NCSM state offices.
- Provide professional oversight of clinical dietetic practice within the Dietetic Unit.
- Monitor service capacity, workload distribution, referral flow, appointment management, and overall utilisation of dietetic services.
- Support dietitians in the assessment and management of patients with complex nutritional, medical, psychosocial, or treatment-related needs.
- Serve as the escalation point for clinical concerns, challenging cases, ethical considerations, and situations requiring senior professional input.
Requirements
- Membership with MAHPC(DTN)
- At least three (3) years of collective experience in both clinical and community dietetics.
- Experience in oncology nutrition, hospital dietetics, palliative care, or other complex clinical populations is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in clinical leadership, senior clinical, supervisory, or equivalent capacity.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Tamil will be an added advantage.
