Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering and power solutions organization. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end electrical design, technical documentation, and engineering support for mission-critical power systems throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective, high-quality technical solutions while ensuring project milestones, customer requirements, and engineering standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design & Engineering: Lead the design and technical development of complex power system solutions, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and project objectives.
- Technical Documentation & BOM Management: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), calculations, technical data sheets, testing documentation, and project-related engineering deliverables.
- Project Technical Support: Collaborate closely with project managers and technical stakeholders to provide technical guidance, address customer requirements, and support project execution activities.
- Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Engage with third-party suppliers for technical clarifications, procurement-related activities, and successful integration of externally sourced components and solutions.
- Manufacturing & Testing Support: Provide engineering support to assembly and testing teams, prepare production documentation, resolve technical issues, and support system release activities.
- Inspection & Acceptance Activities: Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), technical inspections, quality reviews, and implementation of engineering modifications arising from project requirements.
- Knowledge Sharing & Team Development: Mentor junior engineers, share technical expertise, support capability development within the team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience within the electrical engineering industry, including hands-on involvement in design and project execution.
- Power Systems Design Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in the design and engineering of critical power infrastructure, backup power, or related electrical systems.
- Engineering Design Software Proficiency: Strong experience preparing electrical drawings and engineering documentation using industry-standard design tools such as EPLAN, ECAD or similar platforms.
- Strong Communication & Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively within cross-functional teams, and communicate fluently in English.
