Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hardware/Electronic Design Engineer with strong expertise in schematic design, PCB layout, debugging, and hardware validation. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical capability across the full hardware development lifecycle and can work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment. Hands-on skillsespecially soldering and board reworkwill be considered a valuable advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hardware Design

  • Lead end-to-end electronic design activities for new and existing products.
  • Create detailed schematics using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
  • Drive PCB layout reviews, constraints definition, component placement, and routing guidance.
  • Perform component selection, derating analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations.

2. Debug & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct hands-on debug of complex hardware issues involving power, high-speed signals, analog circuits, and embedded systems.
  • Use instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design and production issues.

3. Validation & Testing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for prototypes and production units.
  • Perform functional, electrical, reliability, and stress testing.
  • Document test results clearly and drive necessary design updates.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with firmware/embedded teams, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support NPI processes, including factory builds and engineering change management.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and review for junior engineers.

5. Additional Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Soldering, rework, and modification of fine-pitch components (0402, QFN, BGA, etc.).
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, DDR, SERDES.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design practices and compliance testing.
  • Familiarity with reliability testing standards and industry certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware design and validation.
  • Strong proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Proven track record in debugging complex electronic systems.
  • Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and analog/digital circuit fundamentals.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problemsolving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, or communication hardware.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, UL, etc.).
  • Experience with design reviews, risk management, and project leadership.
