Senior Employment Counsel | Scaling Technology Company

We're supporting a scaling technology company in the search for an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to provide ongoing flexible legal support across a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior employment lawyer seeking flexible, high-quality work with exposure to both traditional employment issues and the evolving gig economy landscape.

Key areas of support include:

• Employment advisory and day-to-day HR legal matters

• Disciplinary issues, investigations, PIPs and performance management

• Retrenchment, redundancy and workforce restructuring exercises

• Industrial Relations and Labour Department matters (including Industrial Court and JTK disputes)

• Drafting and reviewing employment documentation, policies and templates

• Managing external counsel and employment-related litigation

• Advising on gig worker and independent contractor matters, including disputes, tribunal proceedings and regulatory developments

We're keen to speak with lawyers who have:

• Minimum 6+ PQE with strong employment law experience

• Experience handling contentious and non-contentious employment matters

• Practical, commercially minded approach and ability to work independently

• Prior in-house experience is advantageous but not essential

Please note this role is:

• Based in Malaysia
• Part-time / fractional arrangement
