Design, develop and propose optimum detailed well designs and the associated completion programs for the development campaign in compliance with Company's accepted technical and operational standards. Key responsibilities cover but not limited to well planning, well operations, completion engineering and contracting activities.
Key Accountabilities
Provide leadership in ensuring completion technical and operational aspects conform to standards adopted by the Company.
Propose well designs, well planning and optimized completions program including innovative solutions to complex drilling techniques for required for HPHT drilling.
Provide technical specifications for completions equipment and services required for HPHT, NPNT and brownfield development plan and area development plan in consultation with all stakeholders
Recommend improvements and optimization include lesson learned from previous wells including evaluation and execution of necessary studies to deliver work program and budget.
Ensure that the well AFEs are professionally prepared - accurate and reliable well time cost estimates, technical feasibility of wells (incl. HPHT) and realistic completion schedule
Champion for HSE related to completions activities e.g. risk assessments, contingency operations
Provide input to related contracting process and cycles like Tender Plan and Invitation to Bid Document, conduct Technical and Techno-Commercial evaluations, and prepare Award Recommendation
Provide technical specifications for metallurgy and seal selection for high corrosive high temperature environments (H2S and CO2)
Review and approve Quality Control and Manufacturing Control Plans for CRA tubulars and completion components
Provide sound input for Work Programs and Budgets
Review, screen and advise completion strategies for other development opportunities.
Set standards and championing prudent reporting and documentation best practices including compliance with company and statutory reporting requirements
Mentoring junior engineers and drilling staff to enhance knowledge, skills, and competency of team members
Qualification & Experiences
Minimum recognized Honors Degree (BSc or BEng).
Minimum 10 years experience in completion engineering and operations preferably gained through hands-on drilling experience in offshore gas and HPHT operations.
Knowledge and experience well planning, offshore new and mature field development plan and HPHT operations.
Knowledge in well design including proficiency in the use of well design software (e.g, Landmark) advanced casing design (Wellcat), ERD/hydraulics (e.g. K&M, WellPlan), online drilling daily reporting software, etc.)
Knowledge in HPHT design standards and operational practices including MPD, MPC, ERD, fluids, cementing, equipment specifications and annulus pressure management.
Familiar and experienced with HSE Standards and Procedures and HSE culture of major international operators.
