Job Description

Job DescriptionThe

Facilities Engineer will be responsible as a system owner for the designated Facility System and equipment for its operation, maintenance, and engineering. He/She will be able to routinely use technical judgment in solving problems, making routine recommendations, and improving existing work processes. He/She will make substantial technical contributions to the success of the department using proven solutions for complex technical problems. He/She will listen to customer feedback, recognize opportunities and provide feedback for technical innovation. The decision could impact the quality and schedule of projects but would generally be contained to the department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mechanical Dry System e.g. compressed air, vacuum air, compressed dried air, LEV, nitrogen, and etc.
• Mechanical Wet System e.g. cooling towers, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, and etc
• Provide support for operational issues, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action with basic knowledge of the systems.
• Determine the system mass balance and operate all related systems to optimize.
• Analyze system capabilities and future requirements during scenario evaluations based on manufacturing capacity and demand.
• Support design reviews for base build systems in your area of responsibility ensuring specifications are met and cost reduction improvements are identified.
• Support tool install designs for the systems that connect to those tools, ensuring specifications are met and cost reduction improvements are identified.
• Review and support capacity analysis for your system,s tracking against actual data from the facility.
• Identifies and evaluates risk analysis for your systems and proposes possible improvements.
• Provide solutions to real-time equipment and process problems.
• Evaluate new or modified equipment based on tools specification requirements and the system capacity study
• Use, identify, and implement equipment and process control methods
• Develop and implement long-term improvements in equipment or processes that result in cost reduction, improved reliability, and safety improvements.
• Identifies root cause from the excursion or abnormal operation and conducts analytical improvement and lessons learnt as part of preventive actions.
• Identifies and evaluates interactions between equipment and processes and resolves potential problems.

Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS)

• Follow all EHSS procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards
• Ensure compliance of all facility equipment in accordance to regulations
• Ensure compliance of daily activity in facility within the regulatory permissible limit.

Cost Reduction

• He/She is responsible for reducing costs associated within the area. This responsibility may include owning and completing cost reduction projects, identifying cost effective sustaining/manufacturing improvements, minimizing regular expenditures, and helping to promote a cost conscious culture.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or equivalent Engineering study.

PREFERRED:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry, preferably in Semiconductor
• Experience in IMS, 8D, AUTOCAD, and Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is an added advantage
