Senior Engineer, KD Parts Management, Corporate Quality

Supporting the Daily Manufacturing Quality Activities

• Assist Manager of KD Parts Management in coordinating KD Parts Management weekly meetings with GEELY representatives, Supply Chain Management Division, Plant Quality Department, Pos Logistics Berhad, and Production Planning & Control Department, discussing:
• Manufacturing parts quality improvement and follow through until closure.
• Issuance of KDNCR and related activities prior to KDNCR.
• Temporary Adoption approval and related activities prior to approvals.
• Refurbishment / re-evaluation of old stock parts at warehouse for supply to manufacturing.

Driving Continuous Improvement Within Own & Stakeholders Areas of Responsibility

• Follow through with GEELY engineers for KD parts market quality improvement and conduct weekly meeting
• Follow through with GEELY on quality improvement activities and presentations to management.
• Participate in and assist GEELY engineers with joint investigations, defective parts verification and return, and coordination with Proton and GEELY stakeholders.

• Actively comply with PROTON's policies and procedures relevant to own responsibilities.
• 100% related Manufacturing Quality compliance to regulations.
• 100% compliance with related Corporate Quality processes, guidelines, and policies.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of the product development lifecycle from concept initiation to manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including casting, stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and machining.
• Basic knowledge of technical report writing.
• Basic knowledge of QMS requirements and quality tools, including TQM, Six Sigma, ISO 9000, ISO/IEC 17025, IATF/ISO TS 16949, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plan.
• Knowledge of vehicle regulations, specifications, Cost of Quality, and continuous improvement methodologies (TQM, ICC, Kaizen, Green 5S, HMS).
• Proficient in English; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate across functions and suppliers, and work effectively as an innovative team player.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, multitasking, and attention to detail skills.
