We're looking to add a Senior Engineer, R&D (CMF/Mechanical Design) in Tebrau, Johor.

Industrialization of Color, Material, Finishing (CMF) for consumer/industrial product. Work with customer and vendors to develop state of the art cosmetic finishes.

As a Senior Engineer, R&D (CMF/Mechanical Design), You will:

• Responsible for the industrialization of Color, Material, Finishing (CMF) for consumer/industrial product.
• Perform industrialization of CMF from conceptual design/prototype to mass production.
• Work with the R&D team and part suppliers throughout the product development cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Explore and develop cosmetic finishing processes with vendors.
• Support mechanical product design in areas of plastic injection parts and sheet metal stamping parts.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as and when required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.
• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs
• Participate in any special projects/programs as & when assigned by Company

What skills and experiences are we looking:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 - 5 years of CMF experience (Fresh Graduate may be considered)
• Prefer Mechanical Design Engineers with 5-8 years of experience (especially working with Vendors)
• May consider Quality Assurance background/ ME procurement background.
• Strong knowledge and experience in painting, Anodising, silk-printing, IMD, VM and other seconding processes preferred
• Plastic/Metal parts design background with good understanding of appearance/cosmetic requirement
• Understanding of plastic Injection, metal die casting, metal stamping are added advantages.
• Familiarity with CAD tools like Pro Engineer and Solid Designer
