Job Title: Senior Engineer – Supplier Development (Electronics / PCBA)
Location: Malaysia (Penang / Kulim / Johor – flexible based on candidate)

About The Role
We are partnering with a leading global organisation within the advanced manufacturing and technology space, supporting complex electronics and engineering solutions across international markets.
They are currently seeking a Senior Engineer – Supplier Development to drive supplier performance, quality, and capability across their electronics and PCBA manufacturing ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Drive supplier development activities across electronics and PCBA components
Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations
Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product introductions and engineering changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, procurement) on supplier selection and qualification
Support design and manufacturing reviews to ensure supplier readiness
Identify and mitigate risks within supplier manufacturing processes
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier base
Engage suppliers on quality standards, processes, and expectations
Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or related field)
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In
Supplier Quality / Supplier Development / Process Engineering
EMS / PCBA manufacturing environment
Strong Knowledge Of
APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D methodologies
Hands-on experience with PCBA assembly and testing processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working with suppliers across Penang, Kulim, or Johor is highly advantageous
Preferred / Advantageous
Experience in global or MNC manufacturing environments
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lead Auditor certifications
Exposure to electromechanical or advanced electronics components
