Senior Engineering Manager

Job Purpose

Manage breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across all company premises to maximize operational efficiency and maintain equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across all Hartalega premises.

2. Monitor overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and develop plans to minimize downtime and achieve KPI targets.

3. Standardize maintenance practices and project implementation across all plants.

4. Collaborate with other departments and plants on critical work execution and SOP alignment.

5. Lead and train managers and engineers to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality output.

6. Implement manufacturing technology upgrades and assess their impact on operations.

7. Manage department budget and control expenditures.

8. Liaise with regulatory authorities during audits to maintain compliance with standards.

9. Drive process improvements and innovation to address frequent breakdowns or non-user-friendly equipment.

10. Resolve internal and external customer complaints and complete all assigned tasks within deadlines.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or any Engineering discipline.

2. Minimum 10 years of experience in process manufacturing.

3. Manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

4. Operational excellence tools and principles (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Streams).

5. Knowledge of manpower planning, cost structures, and facilities and equipment maintenance.
