Job description:
We are looking for capable and driven Project Engineer / Project Manager to manage the design, engineering, and construction of Residential and C&I solar PV projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, engineering, and construction of Residential and C&I-scale solar PV systems, covering electrical, structural, and mechanical aspects.
- Prepare, maintain, and execute project proposals, work plans, and project execution schedules.
- Plan and manage staffing, budgeting, resources, and timelines across all project phases including design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Conduct engineering site visits to determine equipment layout, interconnection points, and integration with existing electrical systems.
- Coordinate preparation and regular updates of project execution plans and documentation.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide engineering and technical support to business development activities when required.
- Oversee construction contracts and ensure compliance with scope of work, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Organize and chair regular project meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and assign responsibilities.
- To complete additional assignments or projects as required by supervisor to achieve strategic objectives.
Job Requirement:
- Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, or other related disciplines).
- At least 3 years of experience in solar PV design, engineering, or related roles.
- Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, including grid connection, substation integration, and commissioning works.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera); familiarity with AutoCAD, solar design software, and simulation tools will be an added advantage.
- Good computing skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, relevant codes, and solar PV technologies.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu; proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Willing to travel to project sites and work on-site as required.
